Foundations of Privacy and Data Protection
IAPP Online Training Bundle

Build Fundamental Privacy Knowledge for Your Staff

With the ever-growing number of data protection laws and regulations, privacy responsibilities can land on almost anyone’s desk with no warning or training. Foundations provides ready-to-go knowledge for staff at any level of your organization to put to work immediately, even without being fully trained privacy professionals.

This introductory course allows organizations to cultivate in-house privacy knowledge in operational areas with growing privacy responsibilities, such as marketing, human resources, technology and finance. The course modules even integrate with corporate learning management systems for easy inclusion into existing training programs.

Online Trainings Updates and Access

The IAPP training team will review the content on an annual update cycle to ensure it stays current. That said, Foundations content is designed to be mostly “evergreen”—meaning that much of this information, including key privacy concepts, the FIPs, data life cycle, etc., is not expected to change over time. As laws and emerging issues evolve, IAPP will update the product. A major legal development, such as the passage of a U.S. privacy law, would prompt a timely revision.

Individuals who purchase online training will receive course updates automatically, as they do for online certification trainings.

Note: The IAPP periodically reconfigures or rebuilds online training content in response to changing technology. Online products are generally valid and fully functional for at least three to five years. Please contact MCS or the training team with any questions.
